The Wynford Elementary Open House for PK through grade 5 will be Monday, August 18, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Parents are encouraged to come with their children to visit their classrooms. Bus drivers will also be there to meet families and answer questions about bus routes.
It is with deep sadness that we share the loss of one of our own, Dawn Schaaf, a longtime Wynford Elementary teacher, passed away yesterday after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dawn embodied what it means to be an educator. She was compassionate, dedicated, hardworking, and kind. She touched countless lives with her sincerity, her encouragement, and her belief in her students. Dawn made certain every student in her presence felt seen, supported, and valued.
Her legacy lives on not only in the many students whose lives she shaped, her countless elementary coworkers that formed her work family, but also through her loving family. She was a proud mother to two amazing daughters; Addy, a recent Wynford graduate, and Myla, a freshman at Wynford and her devoted husband Jake, who works with Wynford as well.
Dawn will be deeply missed by her colleagues, her students, and the entire school community.
While her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, her spirit, her smile, and her warmth will forever be part of our district family.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband, daughters, and loved ones. May her memory be a reminder of the power of kindness, the strength of dedication, and the lasting impact of a life lived in service to others.
The MS volleyball game vs. Ontario and the HS volleyball game vs Arlington are cancelled for tomorrow Saturday, August 16, 2025. Make-up dates will be communicated when determined.
Lady Royals Golf competed in the Tiffin Colombian Invitational today at Clinton Heights. The Lady Royals placed 5th place out of 16 teams with a team score 399. They also beat all the Division 2 schools in their district today. Lady Royals are back in action Tuesday at the Marion CC against Pleasant.

Schedule pickup for grades 7-12 will be August 13-19, 2025. Schedules can be picked up in the high school office weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sixth-grade students will receive their schedules at the Back-to-School Night on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
The Royal Rumble was a huge success. Getting to meet our Fall athletes was a great way to start of the 2025-26 school year. Good luck to all the teams and athletes participating in Fall sports.

CHAMPS! The boys golf team finished 1st place out of 11 teams in Seneca East Invite today. The Royals were led by Clay Rogers, who shot an excellent even par round of 70. Overall great round by all of the golfers!
Wynford Football hosted its annual field day on July 31. More than 50 students in grades 7–12 participated in a variety of activities, including tug of war, bench press, bag hops, charades, Pictionary, football play diagramming, the cup stack challenge, and one of the all-time favorites, hiding and finding the copper kettle.
