Wynford Elementary Art Show

This past week was amazing to see all of the hard work from the students up at the same time. There really are some talented students at Wynford Elementary.

During the Art Show, Doris Prenger (retired Bucyrus Elementary Art teacher) judged this year’s show and awarded a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place award for each grade level as well as a K-5 Best in Show trophy for her overall favorite piece in the show.

This year there was also a chance for everyone who visited the Art Show to vote on their favorite piece of artwork. The artwork that received the most votes was then awarded the People’s Choice award. The winner this year may be a piece that was small, but the votes were mighty for Jacob Safford’s clay fish. There were 523 total votes and Jacob received 21 of them.

In addition to the Art Show, all of the Wynford Elementary students toured through the art show this past Friday. After that, they were able to catch some performances by Mr. Safford’s Jazz Band and Mrs. Spradlein’s Royal Choir. The students had a blast dancing and singing in their seats.

As always, congratulations to this year’s award winners! I would also like to give a huge thank you to Doris Prenger for taking on the tough task of selecting this year’s winners. It is never easy.
